Who are we?
Prompt! Schrijven and Prompt! Writing are both trading names of Kiezel Communicatie vof Our web addresses are https://www.prompt-schrijven.nl, https://prompt-writing.com and https://writing.prompt-schrijven.nl.
These are the data we save on this site and for the following reasons:
– Responses
If you visit the site and respond, we save the data you see in the response form. We also save the IP address and note which browser you use. We do that to help detect spam.
We may pass on the anonymized string made from your email address (also known as ‘hash’) to the Gravatar service to check that it’s being used by you. You will find the Gravatar Privacy Statement here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. If we approve your response, your profile picture will be visible to other visitors but only next to the response.
– Contact forms
If you fill in a contact form or email us, we save your email address so we can respond. The address will not be used for any other purpose or kept for longer than strictly necessary.
– Registration forms
If you subscribe to Prompt!, we save the information you fill in so we can inform you of the options your subscription entitles you to. We are obliged by the tax authority to store for 7 years the information you fill in that appears on the invoice.
We use the services of Mollie for payments and collection of subscription fees. You can view their Privacy Statement here.
The subscription comes with the weekly newsletter that we send through Mailchimp. Your name and email address will be stored in our file there. Your address will not be included in that. You can view the Mailchimp Privacy Statement here
– Cookies
It isn’t possible at present to leave a response on our site. If that does become possible in the future, we will make sure that you have the option of letting us know whether you permit us to store your name, email address and visit to our website with cookies. This is for your convenience so that the next time you visit the site, you won’t have to fill in the same information if you want to respond. These cookies are stored for one year.
– Embedded content from other websites
There may be embedded content in articles on this site (videos, images, articles etc). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly the same way as if you had visited that other website. That means that those websites may well collect data about you, use cookies and tracking software and monitor what you do with that content and if you have an account and are logged into that website, track that interaction. At present (August 2021) that is not happening. Should the situation change, we will communicate that here.
– Analytics
We keep track of how many people visit the website, how long they stay and which pages they click on. This information is attached to your IP address.
Who do we share your data with?
As we said, we share your data with Mollie for the payments and with Mailchimp. We also work with Google to prevent our forms being spammed.
How long do we store your data?
If you leave a response, the response and the corresponding metadata is stored indefinitely in principle. That way, we can recognise and approve any subsequent comments automatically, instead of having to place them in a moderation queue. We store the data for your subscriptions as long as you remain a member and seven years after that, in compliance with tax authority requirements.
Which rights do you have with regard to your data?
If you have left a comment on the site, you can request we send you a file with any of your personal data we have collected, including all the data you gave us yourself. You can also request we erase all your personal data that we have collected. Exceptions are the data that we are legally obliged to store for administrative, legal or security reasons.
Where do we send your data?
Visitors’ responses can be checked by an automatic spam filter.
